ABS is not affected by water, inorganic salts, alkali and various acids, but soluble in ketones, aldehydes, chlorinated hydrocarbons, by glacial acetic acid and vegetable oil corrosion will produce stress cracking. ABS has poor weather resistance and is easy to degrade under the action of ultraviolet light. After six months outdoors, the impact strength was reduced by half. ABS sheet has excellent impact strength, good dimensional stability, dyeability, good forming processability, high mechanical strength, high rigidity, low water absorption, good corrosion resistance, simple connection, non-toxic and tasteless, excellent chemical properties and electrical insulation performance. Heat resistant deformation, low temperature impact toughness is high. It is also a hard material, not easy to scratch, not easy to deformation. Low water absorption; High dimensional stability. Conventional ABS sheet is not very white, but the toughness is very good, can be cut by a shearing machine, can also be punched with a mold. The thermal deformation temperature of ABS is 93-118 ℃, and the product can be raised about 10℃ after annealing. ABS can still show certain toughness at -40℃ and can be used at -40~100℃. Among them, transparent ABS board transparency is good, polishing effect is good, is the alternative to the choice of PC board material. Compared with acrylic fiber, it has good toughness and can meet the requirements of fine processing. The disadvantage is that transparent ABS is more expensive.
